Account & Data
Everything about your account sits on one Settings page. That includes moving your list in and out, whether you are arriving from another tracker or just want a backup.
The short version
Open Profile from the menu under your avatar (it opens the Settings page). Account holds your profile, Preferences holds playback and privacy, Sync holds imports and exports, and Security holds your password.
Useful preferences
- Prefer Dub, Auto play, Auto next episode and Skip intro automatically set how the player behaves by default.
- Show comments hides or shows comment sections under episodes.
- Public watchlist and Hide watching status decide what other people see on your profile.

JSON is this site's own format and keeps the most detail, so use it for backups. XML follows the MyAnimeList layout and can be uploaded to MyAnimeList's import page. Plain Text is a readable list for sharing.
Bring a file back

Choose a file you exported earlier (or a MyAnimeList XML export) on the matching card. Titles are matched to anime on this site and dropped into the right folders.
Importing by username
Coming from MyAnimeList or AniList? Enter your username there instead of a file. The list has to be public on that site. Merge adds to what you already have; Replace clears your list first. Keep the page open while it runs. Titles this site does not carry yet are passed on as requests.
AniList users can also connect their account under Sync and turn on AniList auto sync to keep both lists in step.
