Community Rules
Comments and community posts work best when people can read them without being spoiled, sold to or shouted at. These are the house rules, and what happens when they are broken.
The short version
Be decent, stay on topic, hide spoilers, and keep it safe for work. The rules apply the same way under episodes, on anime pages and on the community board.
The rules
- No spoilers. Anime pages are spoiler-free. Episode comments may talk about that episode and the ones before it, never what comes after.
- No advertising, and no links to other streaming sites.
- No flaming or toxicity. Argue with the take, not the person.
- Stay on topic. No political threads, low-effort spam or ASCII art.
- Nothing NSFW, and that includes usernames and avatars.
- One account per person. Using extra accounts to vote, argue or dodge a ban is treated as the worst kind of offence.
Hiding a spoiler
Wrap the words
Comment boxSpoiler
Select the text and use the spoiler button in the toolbar, or type it between double bars: ||like this||. It stays hidden until the reader chooses to reveal it.
Or hide the whole comment
Comment boxSpoil?
Turn on Spoil? before posting and the entire comment is covered until someone chooses to open it.
Posting on the board
The community board takes text posts, polls, tier lists and head-to-head match-ups. Pick a topic, give the post a clear title, and use the formatting shortcuts (**bold**, _italic_, ||spoiler||, > quote) to keep it readable.
What happens if you break them
Moderators remove the post and, depending on how serious it is, hand out a temporary ban of one to fourteen days or a permanent one. If you think a ban was a mistake, appeal through the Contact page with your username and a short explanation.
